Best Costume Competition

A Best Costume Competition was held on 4th Oct 2019. A competition where participants in their best traditional attire were tasked to flaunt and describe the tradition they represent. The one with the best attire and description grabs a win. The event was judge by Prof. Shubhangi Mahadik and Prof. Sudeshana Roy and the following winners were declared. Rangoli Competition

A Rangoli Competition was held on 3rd Oct 2019. A freestyle rangoli competition was held on day 3 of competition week wherein participants were instructed to make any rangoli without any help of a picture or aid. They were allotted a space floor to draw and were allowed to draw any design or concept of choice. The event was judged by Prof.Priya Chandran and Prof. Gunjan Behl and the following winners were declared. 1No. Of Participant: 7 Winners: 1st : Tejal Nandoskar - SYMCA

Poster Making

A Poster Making was held on 1st Oct 2019 A theme based poster making competition based on Indian festival celebrating the diverse cultures was held wherein the participants were allowed to bring home made posters for an exhibition with explanation and the one with the best poster and best description wins. To judge the event Prof.Uttara Athawale and Prof.Nidhi Panghal were invited to decide the winners based on above mentioned parameters. Web Designing Competition

A Web Designing Competition was held on 30th sept 2019 to encourage the students by giving them a chance to compete in web designing. The competition was staged in 2 levels of task to filter the participants until the winners. To judge the participants atdifferent levels, Prof.Manish Dubey was invited and the winners were declared by them after the final round. "Cultural Week" 2019

Cultural week was celebrated from 30th Sept to 4th October 2019. Following event were scheduled  On Monday 30/09/2019 Garba event was celebrated For all MCA student between 4.00pm -6.00pm.
 On Tuesday 1/10/2019 Mis-Match Day was celebrated.
 On Thursday 3/10/2019 Group Alike/Twin Day was celebrated.
 On Friday 4/10/2019 Traditional Day was celebrated.
All MCA students participated enthusiastically and dressed in Indian traditional attire.They enjoyed the Garba event

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

2nd of October 2019 commemorating Gandhi Jayanti and the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' initiated by our Honorable Prime Minister, our college students participated in a clean up drive and plastic free awareness campaign. This drive was conducted by Shuddi a non profit organization. The event took place successfully. Around 40 students participated in the event.

Freshers 2019-2020

On 24th of September 2019 BVIMIT organized freshers party for the students of MCA AY 2019-20. The event was organized in the Hotel Management Auditorium from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. The students of second year organized various games and dance performances for the freshers. At the Mr. and Miss Freshers were declared and were felicitated by the Principal and Faculty Members.

Shree Ganesh Pooja

BVIMIT organized “Shree Ganesh Pooja” in college premises on Wednesday, 11th September 2019 at 10 a.m. All the staff members & students were celebrated the Ganesh Pooja in traditional attire with much excitement and fun.

Teacher’s Day 2019-20

To mark the great Teacher & Philosophyist, Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s Birthday, Teacher’s Day was observed and celebrated at BVIMIT on September 05, 2019 at 4.00 p.m. at Conference Room. All the staff members of MCA department gathered joyfully for the celebration of the event. The Incharge Principal Dr. Suhasini VijayKumar enlightened with her speech about the significance of the function to show respect to our Gurus who dispel darkness and ignorance around us. She distributed a flower and token of gift to all the teaching staff members which was followed by a small tea party.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME 2019-20

Orientation program is conducted for the MCA I year students from 8-10 August 2019. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Suhasini Vijaykumar, I/C Principal, BVIMIT, Navi Mumbai. Dr. Suhasini Vijaykumar elaborate the Vision & Mission of the institute, also brief about Pos and Cos.Dr. Prachi Murkute on Ice Breaking and Industry Needs from Budding Manager Prof. Manish Dubey on importance of communication. On the next day i.e. 9/8/2019, Mr. Harpreet Singh starts the session by introducing students to the activities of Incubation center of the institute. Indoor sports were conducted for new students in post lunch sessions. On third and final day, a session named “College ki Gapshap” was conducted where Prof. Vikrant Gharat interacts with alumni and final year (placed) students. Next session was conducted by Prof. Manish Dubey to introduce students about the Placement process of the institute.

Tree Plantation Programme -

BVIMIT organized a “Tree Plantation Programme” on Monday, 22nd July, 2019 some saplings were planted around the college premises and surrounding areas. In the event MCA faculties and students participated with great enthusiasm and made it a grand success.

Session on “Hemoglobin Prevalence & Knowledge” -

Women Development Cell of BVIMIT organized an interactive session on “Hemoglobin Prevalence & Knowledge” on 19-Jul-2019 for female staff members where Mrs. Chitra Polekar, M.Sc Nursing from BV College of Nursing give awareness regarding Anemia in female. Anemia is a condition in which levels of hemoglobin, hematocrit, and erythrocytes fall below the normal range was given. It was discussed how increasing the intake of iron-rich foods (eggs, spinach, artichokes, beans, lean meats, jaggery, peanuts and seafood) and foods rich in cofactors (such as vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin B12, and vitamin C) important for maintaining normal hemoglobin levels. In the end, iron test was taken by Mrs. Chitra Polekar . She has advised that the normal range for hemoglobin should be maintained in between, 12.0 to 15.5 grams per deciliter for the age group above 35.

FAREWELL PARTY 2019 -

BVIMIT organized farewell party for the MCA final year students Batch (2016-19) on 5th July 2019 from 2.00 p.m .-05:00 p.m at the college campus. The outgoing students looked gorgeous in their attires and the juniors welcomed their seniors and entertained them with a medley of western songs and dance performances on popular Bollywood numbers. This was followed by a host of engrossing games and a short PPT presentation of their best moments in college life and as a token of appreciation for the teachers. Students were also given awards in the following categories- Highest Stipend; Albert Einstein Award; 1st Placed etc... The moment was nostalgic as the outgoing batch cut a special large cake with their teachers.

International Yoga Day -

BVIMIT celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 -06-2019 in association with Shri Ambika Yog Kutir ,by organizing a special yoga session in which the professors performed various 'asanas'. The main aim was to raise awareness and ignite a passion for fitness and yoga. In the present day people face stress, tension, fear, etc. , simple asanas can help dispel these.

Milan 2019 -

Milan 2019 is organised on 5th April 2019 to celebrate and refresh old relationships and form new ones . It is an occasion when students gather at their Alma Mater, go down the memory lane and look forward for new interactions with new hopes. Here we had speeches from Dr. Suhasini Vijaykumar , I/C Principal BVIMIT and Mr. Saurab Bhatt ,B.Tech IIT, Founder of SME Niwas Finances Private Limited. Alumni’s of 2002-2005 to 2015-2018 actively participated in MILAN @2019. Students of 2nd Year MCA kept activities for their Alumni’s along with cultural performances.

Convocation for MCA batch 2015-16 -

The Annual Convocation for MCA batch 2015-16 of BVIMIT was held on 2nd March 2019. The ceremony began with lightning the lamp by the dignitaries and then followed by Bharati Vidyapeeth’s anthem sung by the students of the Institute. The chief guest Mr. Ritesh Bhatia cybercrime investigator, founder director of V4WEB Cyber security, guest of honour Dr.Anlaji Kalse Director, BVIMSR was felicitated by our Principal Dr.Suhasini Vijaykumar who then gave the review of the institutional progress in academics and co-curricular activities. The top3 merit holders of the batch were felicitated by the dignitaries and then the function was addressed by chief guest who inspired the students for their future career and prospects and felicitated the top three merit holders of the MCA batch This year a total of 69 MCA students were awarded with the degrees and the ceremony was concluded with national anthem and a group photograph of our graduated students

Eminence 2019 -

Eminence 2019 is a culmination of three successful inter-collegiate annual fest, “Manthan” celebrated by BVIMIT, “Shikhar” celebrated by BVIMSR and “Zeal” celebrated by BVIMED. This year it was celebrated on 20th, 21st and 22nd Feb. 2019. Over thousands of students from various streams participated in various IT, non-IT, indoor, outdoor and management events. To grace the inauguration ceremony we had with us one of the most renowned Bodybuilder Mr. Suhas Khamkar, who is the first ever Indian Bodybuilder to achieve PRO CARD, also won Mr. Amateur Olympia (Champion of Champion) in Oct 2018. The event successfully concluded on 22nd of Feb. 2019 with cultural events comprising of dance, song and fashion show. To judge these events we were privileged to have with us Mr Pankaj Kumar, Mr. Kapil Bhatia and Mr. Sandeep Uttam.

Birth anniversary of Dr. Patangrao Kadam -

On 8th January, 2019, a blood donation camp was organized at Bharti Vidyapeeth campus, Navi Mumbai in the fond memory of Dr. Patangrao Kadam, founder of Bharati Vidyapeeth. The occasion was his birth anniversary. Blood donors- students, faculty and staff of the college- lined up to donate their blood on this occasion.

BVIMIT conducted health checkup for faculties on Tuesday, 27th November 2018 from 10am to 2pm where Test for(Calcium Profile) and diet consulatation for diabetic patients were conducted free of cost for all participants in the Campus.

Industrial Visit MTNL - Centre for Excellence in Telecom Technology & Management -

A one day Industrial Visit of the MCA IIIrd Year students was take to the MTNL-(CETTM) , Mumbai , Powai Center on 10th October 2018. A total of 51 students of the Final year participated in the Industrial Visit. The students were enlightened with 3G technologies and were given a practical exposure to the the various infrastructures of Cellular Communications.

Physical exercises help us to keep ourselves fit. Sports and games develop sportive spirit and lay the foundation for the future.It also helps us to be active both physically and mentally. BVIMIT gives distinct importance to sports and games by organizing Monsoon Sports meet on 3rd and 4th October 2018 for BVIMIT students.Students participated in following games:Cricket, Badminton, Football, Volleyball, Tug-of-war and Dodge Ball. All students were participated with good sportsmanship and compete fairly.

“Fresher Party” in any college is an event which every student eagerly awaits from the time of their admissions. The 24th August 2018 was marked as a memorable day in the life of every fresher of 2018-21 batch at BVIMIT. The Fresher’s day was a day that was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. BVIMIT celebrated Guru Purnima by planting trees, where teachers planted trees along with students on July 27 2018.It is believed that a person is blind without a teacher to guide him. A mother is the first teacher of a child, but after that, the guru becomes his or her second mother.

The Annual Convocation for MCA batch 2013-16 of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management & Information Technology was held in its very own permanent Campus on 18th March 2017. The Convocation began with a majestic and grand academic procession led by our Campus Director Dr.V.J.Kadam, Chief Guest Lt.Gen.Ravindra Thodage, Director Dr.D.Y.Patil, followed by students of PGDBM, Part Time, MMS, Finance ,Markting, Operations,Human Resource and MCA.

MANTHAN

A two day technical fest “MANTHAN 2018” was conducted for IT and Non IT Events. The annual technical festival is a rendezvous of the students of all IT colleges in and around Mumbai and Navi Mumbai joining together to explore and visualize the plethora of knowledge for creating the splendor in wisdom and excitement, mixing knowledge with fun. This inter-collegiate competition tests the skills and hones the competencies of young techies through various IT-Technical, Indoor and Outdoor Sport events. The event was inaugurated by Dr. V.J Kadam, Campus Director, Bharti Vidyapeeth, Navi Mumbai on 23rd January 2018. About 80 colleges were invited in and around Mumbai and we got a startling response from these colleges. The event was closed on 24th January 2018 with the prize distribution ceremony. The event was financially supported by the different sponsors.

MILAN

“Milan” our first alumni meet was organized on 3rd March 2018. We had active participation from our alumni.There was overwhelming response from our alumni for helping us in project & final placement of our students In the evening we had arranged a cultural program. The guest of Honour for evening was Dr Vilasrao Kadam ,Campus Director ,Bharati Vidyapeeth Educational complex. The students of MCA first and second year presented their talents such as singing, dancing, etc. They presented a very nice slide show of our alumni showing their college life. It was followed by delicious Snacks. Along with fun and frolic students learned important lessons of team work, managing people, some leadership qualities etc. To sum up the event was a great success in both essence and spirit.

BLOOD DONATION -

On 26/09/2017 Blood Donation and Helth Checkup Camp was organized by the association with Appollo Hospitals, around 50 students donated the blood and 200 students did the health checkup. Organizing these kind of drives are our social responsibility and support towards humanity. Good health is a key of prosperity and healthy life. Health checkup included below mentioned investigations: o Height, Weight, BMI o Random Blood Sugar o Blood Pressure o Eye Checkup o Free Doctor Consultation

TREE PLANTATION -

Trees are our best friends. BVIMIT conducts annual Tree Plantation Program at our campus on Friday, 1st July 2016. During this program 200 samplings were planted by all the participants. All the participants decided to take care of all these samplings. The college has conducts activities related to environmental consciousness and awareness to sensitize our students towards the environment. A large numbers of tree species have been planted in college campus for making the campus environment friendly
