Orientation for the course Internet of Things of NEP-MCA (Sem-II)

Orientation for the course, Internet of Things of NEP-MCA (Sem-II), was conducted on 18th Jan.2025 at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management & Information Technology from 10:00 a.m. to 01:00: pm. in online mode. As per the suggestions received from Board of Studies Committee changes were done in the syllabus and conveyed to all participants present during the orientation. Suggestions given by all the participants were taken into consideration. Contents of every unit were discussed with the participants present for orientation from various colleges. Workshop on “LaTex for Technical Writing”

R&D Cell of Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management Information Technology (BVIMIT), Navi Mumbai organized a webinar on “LaTeX for Technical Writing”, on 10th January 2025 at 10.00 am, in online mode, for MCA Sem I students. Resource Person: Dr. Suhasini Vijaykumar, Principal, BVIMIT The aim was to provide a session to the students on the aspects of doing documentation work on open source, scientific tool. This workshop targets those students who are not at all familiar with Latex. Students experienced a special learning session through which they got a better understanding of Latex tool and applications for it. Students understood the importance of Latex and gain a comprehensive understanding of LaTeX and its capabilities. The content delivery was as per the needs of every student along with the huge interaction. A mini-project document template is also shared with the students.

Workshop on "FLUTTER MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT"

On 05 Oct, 2024 The BVIMIT organized a hands-on workshop on Flutter for MCA II year students. The workshop aimed to equip students with the skills required to develop cross-platform mobile applications efficiently. Objective: • To introduce students to the basics of Flutter and Dart programming language. • To help students develop their first Flutter application. • To provide hands-on experience in building cross-platform mobile apps for Android and iOS The workshop started with an introduction to Flutter and its advantages. The speaker emphasized the importance of using a single codebase to develop applications that run on multiple platforms. Key topics covered: 1. Introduction to Flutter framework 2. Installation and setup of Flutter and Dart 3. Understanding widgets and how Flutter works 4. Developing a simple mobile application 5. Debugging and testing the application on multiple platforms 6. Best practices and tips for app development Participants worked on a project to create a basic mobile application that displayed dynamic content and navigation between screens. The students were encouraged to experiment with different features of the Flutter SDK. The workshop successfully achieved its goal of introducing Flutter to the participants and provided them with a solid foundation to continue their journey in mobile app development. Workshop on “Tableau – Hands on Training”, organized by ISTE Student Chapter

Date: 2nd September 2024 BVIMIT successfully organized an engaging and interactive 1-day Tableau workshop on 2nd September 2024, focused on enhancing participants' skills in data visualization. The workshop thoroughly explored Tableau's features and included practical, hands-on experience with various charts and data analysis techniques. Objective • Provide a foundational understanding of Introduction to Tableau • Acquire the fundamental skills for analyzing data in Tableau • Learn to connect to and customize data sources. • Apply sorting and filtering techniques • Work with multiple data sources by using relationships, joins, unions, and blends. • Learn to build essential charts, including bar and line charts, text tables and highlight tables, bar-in-bar charts, axis charts, scatter plots, and maps. • Able to write calculations to customize data, and apply table calculations to a view.

IPR Awareness Programme on Intellectual Property Rights Under National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM) Government of India

Institution's Innovation Council , IQAC & Research & Development Cell of Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management & Information Technology, Navi Mumbai Organized Seminar on IPR Awareness Programme on Intellectual Property Rights Under the guidance of National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM) Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks. Mr. SAURABH KUMAR NIPAM Officer, Examiner of Patents and Designs, Patent Office Mumbai, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India was a resource person for programm. The programme was conducted offline to create awareness about Intellectual Property Rights and to boost innovation and entrepreneurship development at the Institute. The programme was conducted on 19 Jan 2023 from 11 AM to 1.00 PM. The various topics covered in the programme are as follows,  Background to Intellectual Property  Need for IPR  IPR – Patent, Industrial Designs, Copyrights, Trademarks  Other IPS – Geographical Indications, Semiconductor Integrated Circuits Layout Design, Plant Variety, Trade Secrets  Patent application filing process, fees, forms, examination process etc.  Career opportunities in the IPR field The programme was attended by a total of 85 participants. To make this programme successful, the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) Cell received support from Principal Dr Suhasini Vijaykumar. To conduct this workshop smoothly in the institute, the program CoOrdinators, Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) Cell Committee Heads and Research and Development cell took efforts. Registered participants were issued e-certificates by National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission, Government of India.

“Banking and Banking Technology” Workshop.

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s IMIT organized a Three Day’s Workshop for MCA students on “Banking and Banking Technology” on 7th, 8th and 11th April 2022. Delegates from IDBI Intech conducted various sessions on the above mentioned dates. The workshop is all about Banking and the Banking Technologies which are currently used. Day 1: On day One Mr. Khurram Kasimi, Mr. Satish Mutalik, Mr. Binit Singh, Mr. Kunal Yadav and Mr. Shailesh Bedarkar are the deputies from IDBI Intech. Session started with the felicitations of the delegates. Principle Dr. Suhasini Vijay Kumar did the houour. The first session was conduct by Mr. Khurram Kasimi. The post lunch session was conducted by the Mr. Satish Mutalik. During these sessions various topics were discussed such as various Sectors and the authorities that regulate them, What is RBI, and tools used by RBI, types of calculations in banking, Simple and compound, What are loans and advances, Types of loans and advancements, Types of banks in India etc. Day 2: One day 2, First session was conducted by Mr. Satish Mutalik. The day 2 was dedicated to the Banking Technology. Mr. Mutalik discuss various areas of Banking Technology such as Drivers of change in Indian banking, Applications used by banking industry, Evolving Technology, Role of technology in banking over the years, Benefit evolving technologies and Top threats. The post lunch session was conducted by Mr. Khurram Kasimi. He talked about the current technologies which are used by Bankng sector such as AI-ML, AI/ RPA, Cloud Services, Big data. Day 3: On day 3, Mr. Binit Singh, Mr. Kunal Yadav and Mr. Shailesh Bedarkar conducted the session. The day 3 was all about soft skills. The first session was conducted by Mr. Binit Singh were he focuses on body language, Proper way to communicate, how to Greeting, Ethical values in an interview, Posture. Mr. Binit also conduct few mock interviews so that student get feel of it. Second session was conducted by Mr. Shailesh Bedarkar and Mr. Binit Singh. In this, session was focused on what should be included in resume. Also, Mr. Bedarkar share his experience in banking sector and how students can prepare themselves for future. There were prizes given by IDBI Intech to the students who interacted the most. There were six students who win those prises Mr. Manish Dubey give vote of thanks to all the deputies of IDBI Intech. Principle Dr. Suhasini Vijay Kumar present the Industry Institute Partnership certificate to the delegates.

IDBI Intech Workshop.

IDBI Intech conducted 2 days workshop (6th & 7th March 2020) on Banking and BFSI with special emphasis on IT in Banking for MCA second Year students of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management & Information Technology. The guest speakers were Mr. Shailesh Bedarkar Director Business Development, Mr. Khurrram Kasimi Senior Project Leader, Mr. PV Joshi VP Application Support Corporate finance and Mr. Binit Singh Sr. Associate HR. First day, the session was started by Mr. Khurrram Kasimi Senior Project Leader followed by MR. PV Joshi VP Application Support Corporate finance. Mr. Khurram spoke about different aspects Banking & BFSI with their functions and methods and MR. PV Joshi emphasis on role of BIG Data, Artificial Intelligence and Analytics IT in Banking. He also spoke about the major technology products launched by IDBI Intech for their customers.
