Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)

Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading National Professional non-profit making Society for the Technical Education in the field of engineering and technology registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The organization established in the year 1941 with the motto of Career Development of Engineering Teachers and Personality Development of Students and overall development of our Technical Education System. At present, ISTE has a very large and an effective membership base consisting of 1,35,525 technical teachers as Life Members, 5 lakh Student members, 3052 Institutional Members (including IITs, IISc., NITs and other leading technical institutions), 1453 faculty chapters and 1649 students’ chapters and 19 Sections at State level throughout the country. The major objective of the ISTE is to provide quality training programmes to the teachers and the administrators of technical institutions. This is enabling to update their knowledge and skills in their fields and lead to the production and development of top-quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industry and other organizations.

Major Objectives of ISTE are:

“Ideation Workshop”

BVIMIT successfully organized “An Ideation Workshop” on 5th October 2024. The workshop was an engaging event designed to foster creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Participants come together to brainstorm and develop unique ideas or solutions, often focused on addressing specific challenges or themes. After the seminar students were presented their ideas and based on the criteria like originality, feasibility, and impact, the winners were selected.

BVIMIT successfully organized an engaging and interactive workshop on “Data Integration with Azure Data Factory “ on 28th September 2024. The session demonstrated how to use Azure Data Factory (ADF) to create data-driven workflows for orchestrating data movement and transforming data at scale. Resource Person: Mr. Sagar Navle, Associate Leam Lead, Nagarro India Pvt. Ltd. He specializes in Azure Data Factory, data engineering, and cloud technologies. Date: 2nd September 2024 BVIMIT successfully organized an engaging and interactive 1-day Tableau workshop on 2nd September 2024, focused on enhancing participants' skills in data visualization. The workshop thoroughly explored Tableau's features and included practical, hands-on experience with various charts and data analysis techniques. Objective • Provide a foundational understanding of Introduction to Tableau • Acquire the fundamental skills for analyzing data in Tableau • Learn to connect to and customize data sources. • Apply sorting and filtering techniques • Work with multiple data sources by using relationships, joins, unions, and blends. • Learn to build essential charts, including bar and line charts, text tables and highlight tables, bar-in-bar charts, axis charts, scatter plots, and maps. • Able to write calculations to customize data, and apply table calculations to a view.
