Competition-“Start-up and Entrepreneurship- “AI-Powered Solution Expo: Demo Days for AI/14.0 Prototypes”

On 24th March 2026, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) Committee and Startup Committee of Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management and Information Technology (BVIMIT) organized the competition titled "Start-up and Entrepreneurship – AI-Powered Solution Expo: Demo Days for AI/14.0 Prototypes" for MCA Semester II students. The event was judged by Dr. Priya Chandran, Associate Professor, BVIMIT, and provided students with an opportunity to showcase innovative AI-driven prototype solutions addressing real-world challenges. The participants demonstrated creativity, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial thinking while presenting their ideas before the evaluation panel. The event successfully encouraged innovation, problem-solving, and the development of an entrepreneurial mindset among the students. Theme-“Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design” Topic-One Day Workshop and Startup project presentation on -Innovative Designing of an Application with Spring Boot

The Start-up and Entrepreneurship Committee of BVIMIT organized a One Day Workshop on “Hands-on Workshop on Spring Boot for Modern Application Development” on 6th December 2025. The session was conducted by Mr. Soham Borale, a Software Engineer – Development at Reserve Bank Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. The session introduced students to the fundamentals of the Spring Framework and Spring Boot, emphasizing their importance in modern backend application development. Mr. Borale explained the advantages of Spring Boot, including simplified configuration, faster development, and widespread industry adoption. Core concepts such as Spring Boot architecture, annotations, dependency injection, and application configuration were discussed with real-world examples and industry best practices. Following the technical session, students were encouraged to apply their learning by developing innovative Spring Boot–based projects. These projects were designed around real-life problem statements and showcased the practical implementation of the concepts covered during the workshop. Students presented their projects, explaining the application workflow, features, and technologies used. The projects were evaluated and analyzed by faculty members, who provided constructive feedback, technical suggestions, and guidance for further improvement. This activity helped students enhance their technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. Overall, the workshop was highly informative and impactful, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application, and inspiring students to explore backend and full-stack development using Spring Boot.Organized by Dr Suhasini Vijay Kumar, Dr. Jyoti Kharade, Ms. Nidhi Poonia and Dr Pratibha Deshmukh.

Session on “Start-up and Entrepreneurship- “My Story/ Motivational Expert Sessions by Successful innovators & Entrepreneurs”

Organized by: Start-up and Entrepreneurship Committee, BVIMIT Speaker: Mr. Ravi Ahlawat Date: 30th September, 2025 Time: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Venue: BVIMIT Auditorium The Start-up and Entrepreneurship Committee of BVIMIT organized an enlightening session on “Start-up and Entrepreneurship” on 30th September, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., featuring Mr. Ravi Ahlawat, a distinguished entrepreneur and business mentor known for his innovative ventures and guidance to aspiring founders. The session aimed to inspire students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and to explore opportunities within the start-up ecosystem. Mr. Ahlawat shared his personal journey, highlighting the challenges and rewards of building a business from scratch. He discussed crucial aspects such as idea validation, risk management, market analysis, funding options, and the importance of perseverance in the start-up journey. Through real-life examples and case studies, Mr. Ahlawat illustrated how passion and problem-solving can transform simple ideas into successful ventures. He also emphasized the significance of teamwork, networking, and continuous learning in achieving entrepreneurial success. Students actively participated in the interactive Q&A session, seeking insights on start-up funding, innovation, and strategies for scaling up businesses. The session was highly engaging and provided valuable knowledge to all participants. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a member of the Start-up and Entrepreneurship Committee, expressing gratitude to Mr. Ravi Ahlawat for his inspiring words and to the audience for their enthusiastic participation. Overall, the session proved to be motivating, insightful, and instrumental in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among BVIMIT students.

Workshop "Next-Gen Computing: Cloud & Virtualization

On 15th September 2025, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) Committee of Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management and Information Technology (BVIMIT) organized the workshop "Next-Gen Computing: Cloud & Virtualization" for MCA Semester III students. The session was conducted by Ms. Naqvi Adiba from Carelon Global Solutions, Bangalore, who introduced students to the latest trends in cloud computing and virtualization technologies. The workshop provided practical insights into modern IT infrastructure, cloud-based application deployment, and industry best practices. It enhanced students' technical knowledge while encouraging innovation and preparing them for emerging opportunities in the technology sector. Building a Startup from Scratch to Launch

Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management and Information Technology (BVIMIT) organized on Startup Day– 2025 tilted “Building a Startup from Scratch to Launch”on Jan 16th, 2025 at the BVIMIT seminar hall. The seminar focused on how students can learn collaborative working and generate new startups.. This serves as a roadmap, guiding students to play the role of entrepreneurs in their decision-making conducted by Dr Arti Agarwal, Founder and Director Vocskillaking processes, and learn from experienced entrepreneur.. The program started at 2:00 pm with the ribbon cutting by the hands of Dr. Suhasani VijayKumar Principal BVIMIT Navi Mumbai. MCA Sem - II students interacted with the guest speaker and exchanged their thoughts about the startup culture in the nation. There were various activities that encouraged out of the box thinking and collaborative mindset. Along with the students, faculty members of MCA department also participated in the activities that were conducted in this seminar. The seminar was organized by Entrepreneurship cell and Start Up Committee under IIC Dr. Pratibha Deshmukh and Ms. Nidhi.

Event: Webinar on “Entrepreneurship Development”

On 2nd of May 2020 Mr. Harpreet Singh, CEO of Ahy Consulting LLP had conducted a session for our MCA SEM IV students via Zoom from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. He addressed the students on “Entrepreneurship Development” to ignite their energy and enlighten them on Entrepreneurship skills. The session was very informative and lot of queries that the students had in their mind were answered well. The session ended with a vote of thanks being offered to the dignitary.
