SAP Session and Business Intelligence

On 6th and 7th May 2022, Team from SSIT had visited our college to interact with the students and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between SSIT and Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management and Information Technology. We had Mr. Sri, CEO and MD SSIT at our campus, having more than 16 years of experience in Technology and Management, took a session on SAP for Day 1 and Business Intelligence on Day 2. At the onset, he briefed the students about the company and the latest technology upon which they are currently working, and also the areas where the students must get certified to find a suitable job in the IT market. He briefed the students about SAP and ERP and also provided a brief history of SAP, how processes are working in SAP, and what kind of projects the students can expect in this technology. He also briefly spoke about SAP architecture and provided some live examples pertaining to it. On Day 2, Mr. Sri took a session on Business Intelligence, which was again a 2-hour session. He briefed the students about the past, present, and future of this technology. He discussed the remarkable changes this brings to all levels of the business domain. He also discussed the key stages of BI and gave live examples, latest trends, and what would be the impact of students learning this technology. Towards the end, there was a Question and Answer round where the students asked questions promptly and cleared all their doubts. It was a remarkable and fruitful interaction for the students.

3D Printing Technology

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s IMIT organized a webinar for MCA students on “3D Printing Technology" on 3rd June 2022. Dr. Yogi Gandhi, CEO of USI3DT, California, conducted this webinar to make students aware of the new technology of 3D Printing. The session commenced with a brief introduction of the guests and an overview of 3D printing technology. Dr. Gandhi explored the various areas where 3D Printing already has a significant impact, such as medical, civil, and many more. This technology is already firmly established in the US but is still emerging in India. The primary aim of conducting this seminar was to inform students about 3D printing technology, which can provide more details in less time compared to conventional printing. The entire session was interactive, allowing students to experience how this technology works. Students were able to see how a 3D printer operates and what its end product looks like. They were also able to resolve their queries regarding the technology. The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Tejashree.

One Day FDP and SDP on DATA WAREHOUSING and SDP- HANDS ON SESSION

FDP Coordinators: Dr. Priya Chandran, Assistant Professor, and Prof. Sudeshna Roy, Assistant Professor, BVIMIT organized a one-day online FFDP and SDP on 12th March 2022 on “Data Warehousing – Hands-on Session.” Mr. Raviraj Kuber, Sr. Data Associate, Cognizant, Mumbai, was the trainer for this event. The session started at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Priya Chandran, Assistant Professor, BVIMIT, introduced and welcomed the guest and participants. The inaugural address was given by Dr. Suhasini Vijay Kumar, Principal, BVIMIT. This online hands-on session was conducted to understand creating a dimensional data warehouse model, ETL, working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and an AMA session. A vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Sudeshna Roy, and online feedback was taken from participants.

Webinar on “AI-It’s Innovative Applications in Healthcare and ChatBots”"

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s IMIT organized a webinar for MCA students on “AI - Its Innovative Applications in Healthcare and ChatBots” on 26th February 2022. Dr. Nidhi Dahale, Associate Professor, FCA Department, Acropolis, Indore, was the guest speaker for this event. This webinar was conducted to inform students about the various domains of AI applications that they should be aware of. In this webinar, students learned about the various domains where AI can be implemented. The speaker discussed new-generation technology products that combine various technologies, explaining how AI can assist users in completing tasks. She talked about various products used in the Healthcare and ChatBot domains. The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Rasika Patil.

The session was organized for MCA staff and students. The discussion covered stress, common causes, and techniques for managing stress symptoms.

Webinar on “Effective Research paper Writing”

R&D Cell of Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management Information Technology (BVIMIT), Navi Mumbai organized a webinar on “Effective Research paper Writing”, on 22/Jan/2022 at 10.30 am for MCA Sem IV and VI students. Resource Person: Dr. Priya Chandran, BVIMIT Platform: MS Teams Time: 10.30 am to 1.00 pm The webinar covered the following stages of writing: • Preliminary Thought and Discussion • Research • Organization • Writing • Revising • Editing A research paper is a piece of academic writing that provides analysis, interpretation, and argument based on in-depth independent research. Writing a research paper requires demonstrating a strong knowledge of your topic, engaging with a variety of sources, and makes an original contribution to the debate. The structure of the research paper was discussed during the session. The students were clear about the basic steps of research as well as how to incorporate and document outside source material in a research project. The step-by-step guidelines discussed will help the students to rough the entire writing process, from understanding the problem to proofreading their final draft.

FDP & SPD “Implementation of Cloud Computing Services & Identity Management”

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s IMIT organized a one-day online Faculty Development Program (FDP) and Student Development Program (SDP) on October 9, 2021, on “Implementation of Cloud Computing Services & Identity Management” for faculty members and students of the MCA department. Ms. Sneha Borge, Cloud Engineer from Cloudxchange.io, Mumbai, was the trainer for this FDP & SDP. The session started at 12:00 PM. Prof. Nidhi, Assistant Professor, BVIMIT, Navi Mumbai, introduced and welcomed the guests and participants. The inaugural address was given by Dr. Suhasini Vijay Kumar, Member Ad-Hoc BOS (MCA), Principal, BVIMIT, Navi Mumbai. This online hands-on session was conducted to understand cloud computing concepts. E-certificates were mailed to registered email IDs. A total of 107 participants attended the FDP & SDP session, which was organized by Dr. Jyoti Kharade and Prof. Nidhi.

Webinar on “SEO”

The webinar on “SEO” was organized for students of MCA SEM II on 20th July 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The seminar will be conducted by Mr.Hari Narayan Singh, working as SEO expert in Intelgain Technologies. The webinar was started with the introduction about the marketing and the strategies used for gaining profits in the business through various techniques. Some of the techniques like advertising through traditional and digital marketing. Various phases and types of SEO were also covered. Concepts of On Page, Off Page SEO, sitemaps etc. were discussed. Some of the live examples were illustrated about business through advertising on Face book by creating pages and promoting them. Another example was about his own business in Amazon which he did by using digital marketing. Also some ideas were given related to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) which was used in his own business. Other details covered in the session were Word Press, Affiliate Marketing, Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Google Ads, and Search Engine Optimization. The attendees could learn to earn money online with Digital Marketing, how to rank your own website higher on search engines like Google, improve your own company’s online competitiveness and obtained the knowledge of Job opportunities and career prospects in the field of Digital Marketing. Faculty members of BVIMIT and 100 Students of MCA SEM III attended the webinar.

Webinar on “Let’s Play with Simulation”

A webinar titled “Let’s Play with Simulation” was organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management & Information Technology (BVIMIT), Navi Mumbai, in association with the CSI Mumbai Chapter on July 6, 2021. The speaker for the webinar was Dr. Ravi Prakash, Associate Professor and TPO at KC College of Engineering and Management Studies and Research, Thane. Dr. Prakash is also a member of the Managing Committee of the CSI Mumbai Chapter. His other affiliations include being a Subject Matter Expert at the Bombay Stock Exchange Institute Ltd., Mumbai, and managing the Happy Thoughts Foundation. The webinar was conducted via Google Meet from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Dr. Prakash discussed the basics of computer networks and simulation and conducted a game related to simulation. After the session, he answered all queries posted by participants in the chat box.
