Seminar on Linux and Scripting to Understand Path of DevOps

The primary goal of this seminar was to introduce students to the fundamentals of Linux and scripting as essential building blocks for a career in DevOps. The session conducted on 8th March 2025, aimed to clarify how a strong command over Linux environments and scripting languages forms the foundation for successful automation and CI/CD pipelines in modern IT infrastructure. Ms. Bhagyashree Bhat is an experienced professional in the field of DevOps and Cloud Computing. With years of hands-on industry exposure, she has worked on various automation tools, Linux systems, and deployment pipelines. Her teaching style focuses on real-world implementation, making technical concepts easier for students to grasp.
Seminar Highlights:
• Introduction to Linux: Importance of Linux in system administration and DevOps. Overview of file systems, permissions, and essential commands. Navigating Linux environments through terminal. • Shell Scripting Essentials: Writing and executing shell scripts. Use of variables, conditionals, and loops. Automating repetitive tasks using bash scripting. • DevOps Integration: Role of scripting in CI/CD pipelines. Automating server configuration and deployments. Fundraising & Financial Management for Startups - 2025

Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management and Information Technology (BVIMIT) organized “Fundraising & Financial Management for Startups– 2025” on Jan 16th, 2025 at BVIMIT Lab 1. The seminar focused on how students can learn fundraising, collaboration and generate new startups. This serves as a roadmap, guiding students to play the role of entrepreneurs in their decision-making processes and learn from experienced entrepreneurs. The program started at 2:30 pm with the introduction of the speakers Mr.Ankit Parab and Mr. Ameya Parab with further discussion of how startups work. MCA Sem - II students interacted with the guest speakers and exchanged their thoughts about the startup culture in the nation. There were various thought provoking activities that encouraged out of the box thinking and collaborative growth. Along with the students, faculty members of the MCA department also participated in the discussions that were conducted in this seminar. The seminar was organized by Start Up Committee under IIC Dr. Pratibha Deshmukh and Ms. Nidhi.

Building a Startup from Scratch to Launch

Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management and Information Technology (BVIMIT) organized on Startup Day– 2025 tilted “Building a Startup from Scratch to Launch”on Jan 16th, 2025 at the BVIMIT seminar hall. The seminar focused on how students can learn collaborative working and generate new startups.. This serves as a roadmap, guiding students to play the role of entrepreneurs in their decision-making conducted by Dr Arti Agarwal, Founder and Director Vocskillaking processes, and learn from experienced entrepreneur.. The program started at 2:00 pm with the ribbon cutting by the hands of Dr. Suhasani VijayKumar Principal BVIMIT Navi Mumbai. MCA Sem - II students interacted with the guest speaker and exchanged their thoughts about the startup culture in the nation. There were various activities that encouraged out of the box thinking and collaborative mindset. Along with the students, faculty members of MCA department also participated in the activities that were conducted in this seminar. (PoSH) Act Awareness

BVIMIT MCA Department organized a comprehensive training session on 27th November 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm. on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) at the workplace, facilitated Ms. Nirmala Balodi Posh Trainer and Consultant Trainer from Concept of Living Charitable Trust. The session aimed to create awareness among staff and students about the importance of fostering a safe and inclusive environment. Key topics covered included recognizing inappropriate behavior, understanding legal frameworks like the PoSH Act, and learning about grievance redressal mechanisms. MCA SEM 1 students and faculty members gained valuable insights into their rights and responsibilities through interactive discussions, case studies, and real-life scenarios. The training successfully enhanced awareness and emphasized the collective role in maintaining a respectful and harassment-free campus. The event was organized by the Anti Sexual Harassment Cell and Women Development Cell BVIMIT.
