Post Budget Webinar 2026–27: “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas – Fulfilling Aspirations of People”

Topic: Education, Skills and University Townships Date: 9th March 2026 The Post Budget Webinar 2026–27 on the theme “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas – Fulfilling Aspirations of People” was organized as a nationwide initiative under the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and supported by the Ministry of Education (India), Government of India. The objective of this webinar was to highlight the key aspects of the Union Budget 2026–27 with special emphasis on education, skill development, research, innovation, and university township initiatives. Faculty members and students of Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management and Information Technology (BVIMIT) actively attended the webinar through live online streaming. The session provided valuable insights into emerging education reforms, future skill ecosystems, research opportunities, and policies aimed at inclusive national growth. The webinar helped participants understand how government initiatives are strengthening the education sector and creating opportunities for youth. During the webinar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the audience and shared the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, highlighting the importance of education, innovation, and skill development in shaping India’s future. Experts also discussed various initiatives such as strengthening the education-to-employment framework, promoting creative industries, and developing university townships to support research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The session helped students and faculty members gain a better understanding of the major highlights of the Union Budget 2026–27 and its focus on building a strong knowledge-based economy. It also motivated students to explore opportunities in innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill-based careers aligned with India’s development goals. Overall, the webinar was informative and beneficial for the participants from BVIMIT. It enhanced awareness about national development policies and encouraged students to contribute towards building a skilled, innovative, and developed India.

Project Evaluation For Patentability &IPR Awareness by Industry Experts

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management & Information Technology (BVIMIT), Navi Mumbai, under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an expert session titled “Project Evaluation for Patentability & IPR Awareness”. The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), the importance of patentability, and the evaluation of innovative project ideas. The department is privileged to have industry experts guiding students. Resource persons include: - Ms. Varsha Bhosale, Associate Vice President at Axis Capital Ltd. - Ms. Sana Shaikh, Senior Technical Lead at Mobicule Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The experts shared valuable insights from their industry experience, focusing on innovation, research, and protecting intellectual property. Students presented their project ideas to industry experts, who evaluated them based on novelty, technical feasibility, problem-solution alignment, and potential for patent filing. The experts shared insights on protecting innovative ideas through patents and discussed IPR components, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and industrial designs. Students were guided to refine and document their ideas to meet patentability criteria, enhancing the potential for their work to contribute to innovation and intellectual property development.The session successfully strengthened students’ knowledge of innovation and intellectual property. The expert evaluation provided students with valuable exposure and guidance, supporting the institute’s mission of promoting a culture of research, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Seminar on MedSaftey Week 2025 Campaign

A guest lecture on the topic “MedSafety Week 2025 Campaign” was organized on 4th November 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The session was conducted by Ms. Kirti Naik, Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Navi Mumbai, who has completed her M.Pharm from Goa College of Pharmacy. The session aimed to raise awareness about the safe use of medicines and the importance of reporting adverse drug events. Ms. Naik emphasized the need for continuous pharmacovigilance practices and highlighted how media and social engagement can help sustain long-term behavioral changes toward medicine safety.

R&D Cell of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management and Information Technology (BVIMIT), Navi Mumbai organized a seminar on “Research Project Report & Research Paper Writing”, on 02/9/2025 for MCA Sem III students. The primary objective of this seminar was to guide students on how to effectively document their Research Project and transform them into quality research papers suitable for publication in reputed journals and conferences. Resource Person: Dr. Priya Chandran, Assoc. Organized by: Start-up and Entrepreneurship Committee, BVIMIT Speaker: Mr. Ravi Ahlawat Date: 30th September, 2025 Time: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Venue: BVIMIT Auditorium The Start-up and Entrepreneurship Committee of BVIMIT organized an enlightening session on “Start-up and Entrepreneurship” on 30th September, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., featuring Mr. Ravi Ahlawat, a distinguished entrepreneur and business mentor known for his innovative ventures and guidance to aspiring founders. The session aimed to inspire students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and to explore opportunities within the start-up ecosystem. Mr. Ahlawat shared his personal journey, highlighting the challenges and rewards of building a business from scratch. He discussed crucial aspects such as idea validation, risk management, market analysis, funding options, and the importance of perseverance in the start-up journey. Through real-life examples and case studies, Mr. Ahlawat illustrated how passion and problem-solving can transform simple ideas into successful ventures. He also emphasized the significance of teamwork, networking, and continuous learning in achieving entrepreneurial success. Students actively participated in the interactive Q&A session, seeking insights on start-up funding, innovation, and strategies for scaling up businesses. The session was highly engaging and provided valuable knowledge to all participants. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a member of the Start-up and Entrepreneurship Committee, expressing gratitude to Mr. Ravi Ahlawat for his inspiring words and to the audience for their enthusiastic participation. Overall, the session proved to be motivating, insightful, and instrumental in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among BVIMIT students.
